My name is Gema Gomez and I am the Tech Lead of the Software Defined Infrastructure team at Linaro.
I started doing testing in 2004 and have been in several quality related roles since. I joined Canonical and was introduced to open source in 2011. Ubuntu changed my views on open source software: I don’t think I ever understood it before. Now, I am involved in many different open source projects and enjoying every second of it: Debian, CentOS, OpenStack, DPDK, containers… the list goes on!
I have been working with OpenStack since 2013. Since late 2015 I have been part of the Interop Working Group in the OpenStack project, helping define what being interoperable means for clouds.
When I am not hacking or breaking software I spend time being creative with fibres or doing CrossFit.
The opinions expressed in The Testing Corner are my own and not those of my employer. All the mistakes are also my own, and I will be grateful to stand corrected.
